Message from Editor:   June 10, 2010  The roads are dry and rough, but if you are a property owner, you have probably figured this out by now.

The following was provided by the property owners' assoc.
We've placed a sign at the entrance stating in essence that the road
is not a 'Maintained Road'  Even though all the Ranch roads are being
bladed and most of the drainage ditches are being recut, the term
'Maintained Road' has a legal definition concerning grade, surface,
drainage, etc. that many roads in the county don't meet. (North Bank
Street, Most of Golden Valley, most of the county dirt roads).  We
put that sign there to inform visitors that the road can be of 4X4
quality sometimes after a bad rain.  After consultation with the
county attorney we copied their sign and left out the word
'county'.  It is advisory and meant to be a help to folks who aren't
used to country roads.

This article is from 2008, a little bit dated like most things around here.  We do love our excellent well, it was well worth waiting for.  No more hauling water.  I can garden as much as I want to and have time for.

Well?

Friday August 8 well drilling started on Windmill Ranch by Brown Drilling Co. of Kingman.  By Wednesday Aug. 13, 6 parcel owners had successful water wells, ranging in depth from 105' to 255'.  Several of the wells were 20 gpm plus.   Needless to say, there are a few happy campers here.   The photo above and photos below show 4 of the 6 wells being drilled.

1-27-08  Dumpster

A dumpster has been positioned near the gate for Windmill Ranch parcel owners.  There is a list of stuff you are not supposed to put in there, but simply put, it is only for household garbage and should not be overfilled.  If anyone has a computer file of the regulations and/or a photo, I will post it here.  Roger

Bryan and Mike working on the Ruhl house March 15. Bryan is putting down the roof sheathing and Mike the side sheathing at this point.  Mr. Ruhl is holding the ladder.  They had worked only 10 days at this point on the framing and sheathing. The TJI joists can span 30'. This house is 2500 square feet in size.  Anyone need a house built?

Concrete pour late February at Joe Crippen's.  This pad took 4 truckloads.  The site is parcel 145, eight miles east of Hwy 93.  CK Concrete from Kingman is doing this slab.  It is for a 45' x 30' metal building to be erected next week.   The same day another pour took place on the ranch at another remote site.  This pad is for a home to be framed by local contractors who live here on the ranch.  More photos to come from both jobsites. (see above photo)
